Massage Therapy is no longer considered “alternative medicine”. The American Medical Association now recognizes massage and other forms of therapeutic bodywork as “complementary medicine”. Massage is also considered “preventative medicine”. It keeps the muscles healthy, supporting full range of motion and flexibility. It increases circulation, promoting blood flow which helps eliminate the toxins and waste products that might be attached to the muscle fibers.
The nurturing touch a client receives at the Natural Harmony Massage supports the well being of each individual as a whole person. The body, mind and soul are considered. Nancy recognizes that “tight muscles” are often a symptom, not the cause, of a person's pain and potential impaired flexibility. She helps each client connect with the holding patterns in their body. Through inquiry and introspection, clients connect with the source of impairment at its deepest level. The result is natural harmony in the body, mind and spirit. Nancy creates a warm, nurturing environment for her clients. During the winter months, clients will experience warmth in every respect. The room, massage table, music, hot stones (if desired), soothing scents, warm hands and heart all contribute to a healing, nurturing environment for the client. During the summer months, clients can experience the meditation gardens and pond. Outdoor massages are given upon request. Nancy is also available for house calls for two or more people. She also offers a unique “partners massage”. During this 90 minute experience, partners give each other a massage by mirroring Nancy's movement and technique. It is a “4 handed massage” experience. Nancy is also trained to do “chair/corporate massage”. This is an ideal massage experience for groups of people, such as bridal, baby showers, reunions, girls night out, etc. |
